Bologna, the old lady of Italy, Bologna the “learned one”, Bologna the “fat one”! So many nicknames for one of the most prestigious cities in Italy!
I have been in Bologna before 2 months and i was totally fell in love with this city. I have walked every street and believe me it’s difficult to describe my feelings.
The bohemian vibe, the patchwork of cultures and architecture, the delicious food and this strange aura that passes through your body while walking the mideval buildings really thrilled me.
In the old town dominates Piazza Maggiore lined with arched colonnades, cafes and medieval structures. Basilica of San Petronio, one of the world’s largest churches,Basilica of Santo Stefano and Basilica of San Domenico are only some of the numerous architectural diamonts of the city. In the middle of Porta Ravegnana square appears the traditional symbol of Bologna, Le due Torri, leaning Asinelli and Garisenda.
Every street of this city had a completely different atmosphere from the morning into the night…Aroma of espresso and fresh croissant blended with the frozen air and the fog in the morning. In the midday dozen of people crossing the streets of the old town, eating in the numerous osterias and lots of students and young people rocking around in their haunts in the night…
An alive city…
